I opened the doors to Bridge to Healing in February 2016, and have been training/practicing the Bowenwork technique since 2014. I have logged over 500 classroom hours and have applied the technique to a host of clients, friends, and family members with great results! Lucky joined me in the clinic as a puppy in April 2021. It is his second home, and my clients are like second family to him. He is a terrier/ poodle mix with enough poodle to make him non-shedding. Lucky passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test in August 2022, and also became certified as a Therapy Dog with Furry Friends in September 2022.
My own introduction to Bowenwork began with a herniated disc in my low back and severe sciatic pain. I was referred to a practitioner in Portland with hopes of avoiding back surgery. Success! While Bowenwork did not directly repair the disc, it provided much needed pain relief and helped my body heal. Impressed with the results, I signed up for my first training through the American Bowen Academy. The rest is history!
Here are a few random and fun facts about me: I have an identical twin sister. She was my first client during training, and she gladly let me practice all my new Bowen procedures on her! In 2017 I finally graduated with a B.S. in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. It was a dream to return to school to finish my aviation degree, but in the process I discovered Bowenwork, and my career took a turn. Now my diploma is expensive art hanging up at the clinic. (I told you it was random!)
Below are the certificates I hold in addition to my initial certification. For a list of my full credentials as a Professional Bowenwork Practitioner visit the American Bowen Academy.
